Youth Education “Arts” Mini Grants 2018-2019

The Carson Valley Arts Council (CVAC) is beginning our 14th year of supporting the arts in our community. CVAC wants to enhance our children’s education and foster a lifelong love of creative arts.

Thanks to our many supporters and sponsors, we have reached thousands of students with our workshops, classes and school assemblies.

This year we are offering a new project of Arts Mini Grants. All Douglas County school arts and music teachers are eligible to submit a proposal. A proposal can request a maximum of $1,000 from CVAC. Proposals also must have matching funds.

We are requesting that each teacher or school staff person submit a proposal outlining your project. You proposal must also include the following information: number of students impacted, feasibility, expected arts impacts, funds requested and source and amount of match funding.

Mini Grant funds are very limited in funding for the youth education outreach. All proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee based on the following criteria: quality and clarity of proposal description, number of students impacted, feasibility, expected arts impact, funds requested and the source and amount of match funding.

All publicity about the project must include the Carson Valley Arts Council.

Please contact CVAC at cvartscouncil@yahoo.com or call 775-782-8207 with any questions you may have about the program. Applications for the Mini Grants have been posted here. Please feel free to download an application and either e-mail it to CVAC or by mail to CVAC, P.O. Box 244, Minden, NV 89423. Applications may also be dropped off at the CVAC office located at the Copeland Cultural Arts Center, 1572 US Hwy 395 in Minden.
