DESCRIPTION:TOCCATA – The Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus presents Big Band to Broadway. \nJoin us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the golden age of American music! Our full orchestra and chorus will transport you from the swinging sounds of the Big Band era to the dazzling lights of Broadway\, featuring beloved classics that defined American popular music. \nExperience the sophisticated sounds of George Gershwin with “Strike Up The Band” and the timeless “Summertime\,” alongside Cole Porter classics including “I’ve Got You Under My Skin.” Journey through Broadway’s greatest hits with selections from “Chicago” and “Phantom of the Opera\,” plus a special tribute to the legendary Louis Armstrong. Our program culminates with Duke Ellington’s jazz masterpieces and an Armed Forces Salute honoring our military heroes. \nThe Douglas County performance is Saturday\, July 5\, 2025\, 7:30- 9:00 pm pm at TJ’s Corral\, at the Carson Valley Inn\, Minden. \nTo purchase tickets contact the Carson Valley Arts Council (CVAC) at 775-782-8207 or stop by the CVAC office at 1572 US Hwy 395\, Minden\, Monday to Friday 10 am to 1 pm. Tickets will also be available at the door 30 minutes prior to the concert if not sold out. \nSpecial Ticket Pricing Available: \nVeterans: Complimentary admission (thank you for your service!) \nPremium seating is $75 adults\, $70 for seniors (65+)\, Youth (Under 23 with ID) is $30 and VETERANS (free). \nPreferred seating is $60 for adults\, $55 for seniors (65+)\, Youth (Under 23 with ID) is $15\, and VETERANS (free). \nGeneral admission is $30 for adults and $25 for seniors (65+). Young persons\, under age 23 (with ID)\, enjoy FREE admission and VETERANS (free).
