SUMMARY:Kristy Dial And Tina Forkner Featured Artists At The Copeland Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Carson Valley Arts Council (CVAC) presents local artists Kristy Dial and Tina Forkner at the Copeland Gallery in Minden from May 5 through June 27\, 2025. \nKristy’s and Tina’s exhibit can be viewed Monday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. Work by both artists will be available for purchase. \nCVAC will host an artist’s reception for Kristy and Tina on Saturday\, May 10 from 1 until 3 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Come and meet Kristy and Tina. \nKRISTY DIAL \nGourd Art \nKristy is a professional gourd artist and teacher with 25 years of experience. She is currently the President of the Nevada Gourd Society and is an AGS Certified Judge. \nHer award-winning gourds have been shown in juried art shows and galleries throughout the western United States. \n  \n  \n  \n  \nTINA FORKNER \nWatercolor \nTina began painting in watercolor in 1997. Over the years she has developed her own personal style that can be described as detailed and representational. I like to think of myself as a storyteller artist. I am fascinated by subjects that are old and forgotten\, especially objects that continue to display their history\, character and charm. This is particularly evident in my ongoing Bodie series where my goal is to capture the passage of time as old vehicles become part of the landscape\, weathered buildings that lean from years of neglect and doors open to the past\, filled with untold stories. Additionally\, her paintings include landscapes\, wildlife\, animals and even portraits.

Tahoe Symphony’s concert presentation brings this masterpiece to life with a cast of exceptional opera artists from across the U.S. and our local community. \nExperience the sweeping melodies and emotional depth of one of Tchaikovsky’s greatest operatic achievements— an unforgettable experience of music and storytelling awaits. \nThe Douglas County performance is Thursday\, May 15\, 2025\, 6:30 to 8:30 pm at CVIC Hall\, 1602 Esmeralda in Minden. \nTo purchase tickets contact the Carson Valley Arts Council (CVAC) at 775-782-8207 or stop by the CVAC office at 1572 US Hwy 395\, Minden\, Monday to Friday 10 am to 1 pm. Tickets will also be available at the door 30 minutes prior to the concert if not sold out. \nGeneral admission is $30 for adults and $25 for seniors (65+). Young persons\, under age 23 (with ID)\, enjoy FREE admission. \nPremium seating is $75 adults\, $70 for seniors (65+) and Youth (Under 23 with ID) is $30. \nPreferred seating is $60 for adults\, $55 for seniors (65+)\, and Youth (Under 23 with ID) is $15.
