Carson Valley Arts Council (CVAC) presents local artists Kristy Dial and Tina Forkner at the Copeland Gallery in Minden from May 5 through June 27, 2025.
Kristy’s and Tina’s exhibit can be viewed Monday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. Work by both artists will be available for purchase.
CVAC will host an artist’s reception for Kristy and Tina on Saturday, May 10 from 1 until 3 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Come and meet Kristy and Tina.
KRISTY DIAL
Gourd Art
Kristy is a professional gourd artist and teacher with 25 years of experience. She is currently the President of the Nevada Gourd Society and is an AGS Certified Judge.
Her award-winning gourds have been shown in juried art shows and galleries throughout the western United States.
TINA FORKNER
Watercolor
Tina began painting in watercolor in 1997. Over the years she has developed her own personal style that can be described as detailed and representational. I like to think of myself as a storyteller artist. I am fascinated by subjects that are old and forgotten, especially objects that continue to display their history, character and charm. This is particularly evident in my ongoing Bodie series where my goal is to capture the passage of time as old vehicles become part of the landscape, weathered buildings that lean from years of neglect and doors open to the past, filled with untold stories. Additionally, her paintings include landscapes, wildlife, animals and even portraits.
