Mini Grants

Fueling Creativity, Shaping Futures Youth Education “Arts” Mini Grants 2024 – 2025

The Carson Valley Arts Council (CVAC) is beginning our 19th year of supporting the arts in our community. CVAC wants to enhance our children’s education and foster a lifelong love of creative arts.

Thanks to our many supporters and sponsors, Carson Valley Arts Council has given more than $9,000 to support arts education in Douglas County Schools in mini-grants over the past four years. Over the past six years, we donated more than $32,000 to support Missoula Children’s Theatre, artist workshops, and assemblies in elementary schools.

We are requesting that each teacher or school staff person submit a proposal outlining your project. Your proposal must also include the following information: number of students impacted, feasibility, expected arts impacts, funds requested and source and amount of match funding.

Mini-Grant funds are very limited in funding for youth education outreach. All proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee based on the following criteria: quality and clarity of proposal description, number of students impacted, feasibility, expected arts impact, funds requested, and the source and amount of match funding.

All publicity about the project must include the Carson Valley Arts Council.

Please contact CVAC at cvartscouncil@yahoo.com or call 775-782-8207 with any questions you may have about the program. Applications for the Mini Grants have been posted here. Please feel free to download an application and mail the completed application to CVAC, 1572 US Hwy 395, Minden, NV 89423 or drop off at Copeland Cultural Arts Center, 1572 US Hwy 395 in Minden.
