Mini Grants

Youth Education “Arts” Mini Grants 2021 – 2022

The Carson Valley Arts Council (CVAC) is beginning our 17th year of supporting the arts in our community. CVAC wants to enhance our children’s education and foster a lifelong love of creative arts.

Thanks to our many supporters and sponsors, Carson Valley Arts Council has given more than $5,000 to support arts education in Douglas County Schools in mini-grants over the past 2 years. Over the past five years, we donated more than $20,000 to support Missoula Children’s Theatre, artist workshops, and assemblies in elementary schools.

We are requesting that each teacher or school staff person submit a proposal outlining your project. Your proposal must also include the following information: number of students impacted, feasibility, expected arts impacts, funds requested and source and amount of match funding.

Mini-Grant funds are very limited in funding for youth education outreach. All proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee based on the following criteria: quality and clarity of proposal description, number of students impacted, feasibility, expected arts impact, funds requested, and the source and amount of match funding.

All publicity about the project must include the Carson Valley Arts Council.

Please contact CVAC at or call 775-782-8207 with any questions you may have about the program. Applications for the Mini Grants have been posted here. Please feel free to download an application and either e-mail it to CVAC or by mail to CVAC, P.O. Box 244, Minden, NV 89423. Applications may also be dropped off at the CVAC office located at the Copeland Cultural Arts Center, 1572 US Hwy 395 in Minden.
