The Great Basin Brass Quintet has been entertaining audiences for the past 30+ years in the northern Nevada area. The quintet has performed in many venues ranging from High Camp at Squaw Valley to Nightingale Hall at UNR.

From black tux to t-shirt, concert hall to rooftop. The group has brought brass music into the elementary schools through programs such as “Discover Music” sponsored by the Reno Philharmonic Association. Humor and energy are the adjectives used when one speaks of this musical group. You may even get treated to a tune played on common everyday garden hoses!

The members of the group come from diverse backgrounds. We have professors of music, music educators, a professional photographer/coffee roaster and a freelance musician. At one time or another all of the musicians of the Great Basin Brass served with the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra. When these guys get together be prepared for a wonderful musical experience!
